Hello everyone, David from Community Action House here.

A local grower of tomato plants and pepper plants (350 different varieties) is in need of charitable outlets for about 800 of their plants. These are tomato and pepper plants which normally retail for $7-$10, and produce vegetables which normally sell for $20/pound at market. The grower is based out of Zeeland.

There is a serious time limit – 1 week from today – before the plants will likely not be able to be saved. They are in 4-inch pots and need to be transplanted into soil ASAP! CAH will be receiving some tomorrow – some for use in a local community garden which donates to us, and some for distribution to our clients. These would make an amazing investment of time and energy to assist those with food insecurity this season. The grower is wanting them to not go to waste, and to be used to benefit the community.

Please contact me directly if you are interested – dlee (at) communityactionhouse.org or by calling 616 392 2368 x112
